Derek Carr is a professional American football quarterback who currently plays for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He was born on March 28, 1991 in Fresno, California, and grew up in a family of athletes. His older brother, David Carr, was also a quarterback and played in the NFL.
Carr attended Fresno State University, where he played college football for the Bulldogs. He was a highly decorated player, earning numerous awards and accolades for his performance on the field. In 2013, he was selected in the second round of the NFL Draft by the Raiders.
Since joining the Raiders, Carr has established himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the league. He has been named to the Pro Bowl (an annual all-star game featuring the best players in the NFL) four times, and has led the Raiders to the playoffs on several occasions.
